    Thank you so much for posting this moving version of Bob Dylan’s song.

    The first time I heard Jeff Buckley’s voice was in a recording of him singing “Hallelujah.” I’d never heard the song before. I played it over and over again and played it for everyone I could get to listen to it.

    In 1968, I saw Tim Buckley in concert in San Francisco and then again a few years later at a small club in Palo Alto, California. Was just listening to an interview with Jeff Buckley where the interviewer said something about Jeff having inherited his father’s voice. Jeff Buckley said that his voice was “an Irish thing” that had come down through his family, that his grandfather had the voice, too. That the voice had come down the generations, not just from his father.

    I’ve never heard anything like their voices before or since. That voice touches the Irish part of me in a way that no other voices can.
